Optusman is not a dependency product in the way Minoxidil or Finasteride are. Both of those work by maintaining an ongoing pharmaceutical effect - stop the drug, and the effect stops within weeks or months. Optusman works by activating dormant follicles and improving the scalp environment. Once follicles are reactivated and the underlying causes of miniaturisation are addressed, the improvement is not immediately reversed. However, if androgenetic alopecia is the underlying condition, DHT will continue to act on susceptible follicles regardless of what you use. The practical answer: most customers who reach visible improvement reduce usage to a maintenance frequency (once every 2–3 weeks) rather than stopping entirely.
Yes - and this is often where Optusman performs best. Minoxidil's mechanism (vasodilation via potassium channel opening) is completely different to GHK-Cu's mechanism (follicle activation and collagen signalling) and Rosemary's mechanism (microcirculation and scalp anti-inflammation). If Minoxidil hasn't produced sufficient results, it doesn't mean your follicles are unresponsive - it means the delivery method or the mechanism may not have been right. Many people also quit Minoxidil due to the grease, the twice-daily routine, or the initial shedding phase - Optusman's Twice-weekly protocol removes all three barriers. If your follicles are still capable of producing hair - which is most likely if you've been losing hair for under 5 years - Optusman's multi-mechanism approach gives you several independent routes to regrowth.
Optusman is formulated specifically for androgenetic alopecia (AGA)- the most common form of hair loss in men, also known as male pattern baldness. AGA is driven by the gradual miniaturisation of hair follicles due to DHT sensitivity, causing follicles to produce progressively finer, shorter hairs before eventually stopping altogether.
The formula targets this through multiple mechanisms - GHK-Cu and Acetyl Tetrapeptide-3 work at the follicle level to reactivate dormant follicles and anchor new growth, Rosemary Extract and Green Tea Extract inhibit 5α-reductase locally to reduce DHT activity at the scalp, and the micro-infusion delivery system ensures these actives reach the follicle directly rather than sitting on the skin surface.
Optusman is not formulated for alopecia areata (patchy hair loss caused by autoimmune activity), traction alopecia, or hair loss resulting from medical treatments such as chemotherapy. If you are unsure of the cause of your hair loss, consult a dermatologist or trichologist before starting any treatment.
Because you deserve to know what you're buying. Every competitor in this category -including the more legitimate ones - lists ingredients by name but hides the concentrations behind "proprietary blend" language. The concentration is where the clinical evidence lives. Rosemary oil was shown equivalent to Minoxidil 2% at a specific dose in the Panahi 2015 RCT. Adenosine was studied at 0.75% in the Tsuboi 2009 trial. If a brand won't tell you what concentration they're using, you have no way to know whether their formula matches the evidence - or whether it contains a token trace amount that won't do anything.
